National Suicide Prevention Week: Resources You Can Share

If you or someone you know is experiencing emotional distress, going through a hard time, facing a substance use crisis, or just need someone to talk with, call or text 988 to speak with a trained crisis support specialist. If you are a service member or veteran, call 988 and then press 1 to reach the Veterans Crisis Line. All services are free, confidential, and available 24/7. Support is offered in a judgement-free and compassionate manner, so why not start your journey to better days.  

September 6-12 marks National Suicide Prevention Week. This annual campaign aims to educate the public about suicide prevention and the warning signs of suicide. 

Know that someone is always there for you, no matter how hard life gets. You can be that someone for a friend, family member, or peer by learning more about suicide prevention and spreading awareness. Read on for resources and to learn more.

Crisis support resources (available 24/7)

  • Trans Lifeline Hotline: call 1-877-565-8860
