For this week’s Mosaic Monday, we are recognizing our dedicated corporate partner and lead Humanitarian sponsor, Sun Life. Sun Life’s commitment to Spurwink has focused on vocational opportunities, healthy eating, and innovation.
On November 30, 2021, Giving Tuesday, Sun Life made a commitment to ensuring brighter futures for Mainers by matching all Giving Tuesday donations to Spurwink. Together with our community, Sun Life raised over $30,000 in unrestricted funding, which allows Spurwink to provide help where it’s needed most.
While many businesses and organizations struggle to provide services due to lack of staffing, Sun Life is getting people back to work through vocational training and eliminating barriers to ensure people can have healthy and engaged opportunities in our community.
Sun Life U.S. President, Dan Fishbein, M.D., has been a dedicated volunteer since the 90s, serving on the Spurwink Board of Directors, including several years as the Chair. He has inspired fellow Sun Life employees to engage and invest in their local communities through volunteerism and charitable giving. As the Lead Sponsor of the Spurwink Humanitarian, Sun Life is committed to ensuring a brighter future is possible for all people.
