Establishing a tradition of community engagement that endures to this day, Joe Boulos founded The Boulos Company in 1975. Under the leadership of Morris Fisher, President of Boulos Asset Management, and managing partners Greg Boulos and Drew Sigfridson of The Boulos Company, Boulos has been supporting Spurwink for almost 20 years. The Boulos Companies were honored at this past October’s Humanitarian Awards event by receiving Spurwink’s Corporate Care Award.
Jessica Estes, Partner and Designated Broker of The Boulos Company, is a committed Spurwink Development Committee volunteer who has also served two terms as a board member. When asked what comes to mind when she thinks of Spurwink, she shared it was her big brother Barry. “Spurwink is a name I’ve known for my entire life. Back in the early 1970’s, (which for the record is way before I was born) my oldest brother Barry was experiencing difficulty at home and at school,” she noted. “After trying many avenues to get him help, my father and his wife decided to enlist the team at Spurwink to get Barry’s life back on track. Barry lived in a Spurwink home for about a year and a half and that experience transformed his life. When I spoke with Barry last, I talked to him about his experience with Spurwink. While his memories of those days can be difficult, he gives Spurwink much of the credit for turning his life around.”
Jessica’s dedication as a volunteer and unwavering support of Spurwink has made a huge impact. She has inspired others, and this past December, employees of The Boulos Companies collected and donated holiday gifts for Spurwink client families.
