CATHERINE RYDER APPOINTED TO MAINE SUBSTANCE USE DISORDER SERVICES COMMISSION

PORTLAND, ME – Spurwink Services is pleased to announce that Catherine Ryder has been appointed by Governor Janet Mills to the Maine Substance Use Disorder Services Commission, effective April 23, 2026. Catherine serves as Senior Director of Strategic Initiatives at Spurwink, where she leads the development of innovative, recovery-oriented models aligned with healthcare reform and improved outcomes. A Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor and respected leader in Maine’s behavioral health system, Catherine brings deep expertise in substance use disorder services, access to care, fiscal sustainability, and stigma reduction. Her appointment reflects her longstanding commitment to strengthening Maine’s behavioral health system and advancing effective, community-based solutions for individuals and families statewide.
