Bigelow Program Open House

By July 25, 2022Blog

In July, we were happy to share our space at Bigelow, a new Adult Residential Treatment program, providing integrated residential treatment to adults 18+ with co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders.

This unique program helps meet unmet community needs with a goal of supporting adults in their recovery so that they can successfully return to independent living in the community. Spurwink’s Bigelow Program currently offers:

  • Fifteen beds, with an estimated length of stay of up to one year
  • The ability to receive referrals from community settings, in-patient or hospital settings, or correctional facilities
  • An opportunity for individuals served to receive necessary treatment in a safe and welcoming setting

The open house was well received and attended, with tours being offered by current residents and staff, plenty of questions answered, and information given to community partners. Thank you to those who joined us, including Norway Savings Bank, who helps fund wellness activities at the program. You can read about Norway Savings Bank’s support here.

To learn more about Bigelow, you can read about it on a blog posted about the program (including a virtual walk through), or contact Darlene Panzino at dpanzino@spurwink.org.
