The Forecaster: People & Business, Recognizing Spurwink Humanitarian Honorees

Three awards were announced during the Spurwink Humanitarian Award Ceremony held Oct. 12 at Thompson’s Point in Portland. Danielle M. Conway, dean and professor of law at the University of Maine School of Law, was honored with the Humanitarian Award. Sun Life Financial in Scarborough was given the Corporate Care Award for its community involvement. Dick Tryon was honored with the Going the Distance Award. Tryon and his wife founded what is now Community Partners, Inc., a nonprofit that develops support services for people with Intellectual or Developmental Disabilities.
