Recently, one of Spurwink’s frontline workers, Paul Hopkins, “received the gift of COVID (the gift that keeps on giving,” as he stated, for his 70th birthday. Spending nearly a month in the hospital, he wrote this song, and after recovering and getting healthy enough, he was able to record with Dave Seeley (guitar) and Tony Landsperg (keyboard).
