Donor Spotlight: The Wedding Barns of Maine

By December 22, 2021Blog

At Spurwink, we are grateful to have wonderful partnerships with Maine businesses that share our values as part of our mosaic; businesses like The Wedding Barns of Maine. Through their Love/Give program, a share of the proceeds from every wedding is donated to organizations that are making a difference for Maine’s people and places. Couples choose which group most resonates with them, and The Wedding Barns of Maine directs a donation in honor of their special day. Spurwink is so grateful to be a recipient of donations from many 2021 weddings at The Wedding Barns of Maine. Owners Essie and Mike Haimes shared, “Many of our couples are drawn to Flanagan Farm or Walnut Hill because of their deep love for Maine. Through Love/Give, couples get to put a tangible portion of that love right back into this special state simply by celebrating with us. (…) Needless to say, your important work really resonates.” Having worked at Spurwink earlier in his career, Mike shared, “I’ve had the opportunity to see the incredibly challenging work Spurwink does, and we are both excited to find ways to support its growth into the future.”

Thank you to The Wedding Barns of Maine for going the distance for our community members with mental health challenges. If your business would also like to amplify your impact in our community and join the mosaic of Spurwink, reach out to Emily Silevinac at esilevinac@spurwink.org.
