Establishing a tradition of community engagement that endures to this day, Joe Boulos founded The Boulos Company in 1975. With the leadership of Morris Fisher, President of Boulos Asset Management, and managing partners Greg Boulos and Drew Sigfridson of The Boulos Company, Boulos has been supporting Spurwink for over 20 years. The Boulos Companies received the 2019 Corporate Care Award for their dedication to our community at Spurwink’s Humanitarian Award Gala.
Micki Francombe, VP of Administrative Operations at Boulos has been spearheading the School Supply Drive each Fall for Boulos. When asked how she got involved she shared, “My oldest sister is a teacher in rural Vermont where I grew up. I see the struggles that some families have trying to provide their children with the supplies they need to get a good education. I have always tried to help her students and since moving to Maine I have been looking for some way to give back to my new community. Organizing the school supply drive effort at The Boulos Company has given me that opportunity.” Her favorite part about being a part of the school drive is, “We are always happy to encourage students to realize the value of a good education by helping to provide them with the tools they need to learn.” When asked what keeps her involved, she replied “We have an ongoing relationship with Spurwink, and we continue to be amazed by the impact they have on the community.”
Each December, employees of The Boulos Companies collect and donate holiday gifts including winter gear for Spurwink client families. Volunteer efforts for the holiday gift drive are spearheaded by Boulos Asset Management Lease Administrator, Michelle Donovan. When asked what inspired their involvement she shared, “Knowing that there are some people out there that will have an amazing holiday and to give them knowledge that they are thought of by strangers.” She also shared that what they enjoyed most about their participation was “Brining happiness and joy to others during the holiday season.” Spurwink is grateful for The Boulos Company and Boulos Asset Management’s dedicated partnership.
