For over twenty years, Sun Life U.S. has been a dedicated corporate partner of Spurwink. When the pandemic hit, their partnership grew even stronger. Inspired by Spurwink’s quick transition to telehealth for our outpatient programs, Sun Life employee affinity groups made additional charitable investments to ensure all Mainers had access to care despite the impact of the pandemic.
Spurwink Adult Behavioral Health, located in the Bayside neighborhood of Portland, keeps personal hygiene and basic necessity items available for the people they serve. When Sun Life learned that this stock was depleted, they stepped in and helped to stock the shelves, making sure that anyone who needed a hat, gloves, or a toothbrush and toothpaste, was able to have it. Sun Life U.S. President, Dan Fishbein, M.D., has been a dedicated volunteer since the 90s, serving on the Spurwink Board of Directors, including several years as the Chair. He has inspired fellow Sun Life employees to engage and invest in their local communities through volunteerism and charitable giving. As the Lead Sponsor of the Spurwink Humanitarian, Sun Life is committed to ensuring a brighter future is possible for all people.
Spurwink is grateful for Sun Life’s Corporate Partnership. If you are interested in joining Spurwink’s Corporate Partner program, contact Emily Silevinac, Director of Annual Giving, at (207) 712-9863.
