Spurwink Affiliate Providers are able to run their practices without having to tackle back-end office work, such paperwork, insurance, and billing that come with having your own practice. We’ve found that Affiliate Providers have enjoyed partnering with us in various ways, and we have the opportunity to showcase some of them.
This Affiliate Spotlight is highlighting Maite Garcia, a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), who has worked in the psychology field for over ten years, of which the last six have been as a Spurwink Affiliate Provider. She belongs to a group practice on Ocean Avenue in Portland, where she has worked with people of all ages, but now focusses on teenagers and adults work through issues such as depression, anxiety, trauma, ADHD, and family dynamics.
Maite decided to study psychology when she was about 17 years old, noting that she always had examples at home of her dad’s kindness in helping others, inspiring her to be compassionate and caring.
When asked about her experience in working with Spurwink, Maite noted that she has been able to attend trainings through Spurwink and utilize that knowledge to see notable progress in some of the individuals she’s helped over the years. She also added that, “I am grateful for having the support of the affiliates and administrators in case I have a question in my practice.”
