Recently, community members came together to purchase an American Girl doll for a youth in our Treatment Foster Care program. Due to their frequent moves, the child had lost their doll and had been wanting a Samantha American Girl doll. This doll was relatable, as Samantha is an orphan who lives with her grandmother, as the story goes. The child is thrilled and shared how much this doll means to them, as Samantha embodies kindness, which is something they admire. We are grateful to the caring and dedicated support of the community members who made this child’s dream come true.
