Ryan’s Story

By November 4, 2020Blog

As you are likely well aware, Maine is in the midst of an opioid crisis, with many people struggling with opioid misuse. Sharing stories of recovery helps to raise awareness and can make a life-saving difference.

With his permission, we are sharing Ryan’s story. Ryan is a Peer Recovery Coach at Spurwink Adult Behavioral Health. It was a friend’s story of recovery that inspired Ryan to seek help for himself. He shares his story here in hopes it will show others that recovery is possible, and inspire others to seek the help they need — just like his friend’s story did for him.
