A local women’s quilting group recently donated 14 handmade quilts for children in our residential program. Each quilt will be given to a child, and will be something that they take with them when they leave Spurwink and have for a lifetime.
The quilts range in theme from dogs to hot air balloons to the blues of the sea, and are all beautiful and unique. Becki Jaques helped to organize this generous act as the quilting group contemplated where to share their talent and warmth.
We are thrilled this will be something that will be cherished by the children beyond receiving our services.
