Joyce Wientzen is the Program Director of the Center for Safe and Healthy Families and the Cumberland County Children’s Advocacy Center. She has been with Spurwink for almost 25 years.

When I’m not volunteering/working at Spurwink, I’m: Hanging with my family and close friends

Spurwink program that I connect with most deeply: Center for Safe and Healthy Families and CCCAC

Why behavioral health matters to me: I believe that individuals have the right to be safe (emotionally and physically)

My favorite way to de-stress: read, exercise or binge TV

Words to live by: You cannot reject something unless you fully understand it (from a wise professor in graduate school)

Most interesting thing I’ve read recently: The Neuroscientist Who Lost Her Mind

The music I jam to alone in the car is: My playlist, which includes everything from U2, Coldplay, Beastie Boys and Dance techno

Favorite ice cream: I don’t eat ice cream but I love cookies!

Recent Netflix obsession: Dead to Me

Sweet or salty?: Both at the same time!

Mountains or beach? Tough one but beach!
