Spurwink Services announces that three employees—Sara Tompkins, Daniel Dusabimana and Joseph Mushishi—were awarded Maine Development Foundation (MDF) 2016 Next Step Maine Scholarships. A fund designed to recognize “Employees of Promise” who are nominated by their employers.
Spurwink office manager Sara Tompkins received a 2016 Next Step Maine Employee of Promise Scholarship to support her pursuit of a bachelor’s degree in Communication from Southern New Hampshire University. For a second year, University of Southern Maine students Dusabimana and Mushishi, who work as direct support professionals (DSP) assisting special needs adults in the Spurwink Residential Treatment program, were awarded scholarships.
