Maine Biz: Spurwink Child Abuse Program Medical Director Receives 2016 Ray E. Helfer Award

Lawrence Ricci, M.D. Spurwink announces that Lawrence R. Ricci, MD, Medical Director, Spurwink Child Abuse Program in Portland was presented with the 2016 Ray E. Helfer Award in April. The Helfer Society—an international society of physicians seeking to provide leadership to enhance the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of child abuse and neglect— presents the award annually to a member in recognition of distinguished contributions in the field.

In addition to the Helfer Award, Dr. Ricci has recently received the SOCAN Award for outstanding service to maltreated children and was appointed Clinical Professor of Pediatrics at Maine Track MD Program/Tufts University Medical School in partnership with Maine Medical Center.
