Spurwink’s downtown Portland, outpatient psychiatric clinic, formerly known as The Portland Help Center, has officially changed its name to Spurwink Adult Behavioral Health (SABH). This name change better reflects the full diversity of the services offered, as well as the program’s expanded community presence.
The goal of Spurwink Adult Behavioral Health is to help individuals live full, meaningful, and connected lives in their communities.
SABH services include:
- Assertive Community Treatment (ACT): ACT is an evidence-based model that uses a team-based approach to provide comprehensive care for individuals with serious mental illnesses
- Adult Behavioral Health Home: BHH is a care management service designed to improve clients’ psychosocial functioning, mental health, physical health, use of formal and informal support systems, and ability to achieve maximum independence at home and in the community
- Outpatient Psychiatric Treatment and Medication Management
Spurwink Adult Behavioral Health works closely with community providers and welcomes referrals from primary care and specialty physicians, behavioral health providers, hospitals and emergency departments, and community members. The program is conveniently located on the 4th floor of the Time and Temperature building in downtown Portland, 477 Congress Street, Suite 408.
