Spurwink proudly announces that Catherine Lorello-Snow, PMHRN-BC, Director at the Spurwink Mental Health Center (formerly Portland Help Center), received the Agnes E Flaherty Leadership in Nursing award from the American Nursing Association of Maine (ANA-Maine) on September 29-30 at the OMNE/ANA-Maine annual conference held at the Hilton Garden Inn, Freeport.
“The extended Spurwink community and those served at the Spurwink Mental Health Center have all benefited from Catherine’s passionate commitment to community-based outpatient psychiatric treatment and nursing. We commend the American Nursing Association of Maine for recognizing her leadership,” states Spurwink President and CEO Eric Meyer, LCSW, MBA.
Spurwink Mental Health Center is an inner-city mental health clinic located in downtown Portland, Maine. For 25 years this clinic has been providing community-based outpatient psychiatric treatment, assertive community treatment (ACT), and clinical community (CI) support to low-income adults living in the community with serious mental illness and substance use issues.
Catherine is the President-elect of ANA-Maine, which has recently teamed up with other northeastern states to create a Multi State Division of ANA, the oldest and largest national organization of nurses.
