Allison Hart, LCPC

There are experiences and challenges that cause difficulty in life and interfere with our wellness. Severe mental illness symptoms, trauma, transition, loss, substance use issues interfere with daily life and relationships. I strive to hold a safe space in which a person can share what they are going through and accompany them as they find their own answers and navigate their individual healing journeys. Therapy is a collaborative relationship in which both people bring their knowledge, experience, and resources to the relationship to move towards increased wellness and treatment goals.
I have many years of experience working in various settings with adults experiencing mental illness, substance use disorders, trauma and the many ways these issues impact relationships, daily life, and well-being. I utilize a holistic, strengths-based, esteem-building, trauma-informed approach incorporating EMDR, Flash technique, DBT, ACT, etc.
I am passionate about accompanying people on their healing journeys. I believe all people have inherent value. Providing a safe, non-judgmental space to honor and empower those who are suffering, feeling marginalized, alienated, and/or experience discrimination, is of primary importance to me. We all need people to support us on our journeys.
