Twenty-six Spurwink athletes from across our day treatment programs participated in Special Olympics Track and Field Regional Games this year, our largest team yet! Of those, 14 athletes traveled to Orono to compete in the State Games. Over 65 athletes, staff, and family members represented Spurwink at the regional games. Fielding these teams for both Regional and State games is only possible because of the incredible effort of day treatment and residential staff and administrators, many of whom volunteer their time to ensure that our athletes have this amazing experience.
