ALLTECH is a division of Spurwink that partners with the Maine CITE organization to offer loans of assistive technology and AAC (Augmentative and Alternative Communication) devices for individuals, families, healthcare providers, businesses, and schools to trial. ALLTECH is also the only resale store for medical equipment in Maine. Donations of gently-used wheelchairs, power chairs, walkers, canes, shower chairs, 3-in-1 commodes, and more are assessed, sanitized, refurbished, and sold back into the community at significant discounts.
Darren Smart recently joined ALLTECH as the new program manager. Originally from Lincoln, Maine, Darren graduated from USM’s occupational therapy graduate program in 2015. He then moved to Austin, Texas and worked as an OT in various settings, including skilled nursing facilities, home health, and in-patient rehab. This summer, he returned home, passionate about the future and excited to help ALLTECH grow.
