PORTLAND, ME – On Thursday, April 9, Spurwink will welcome guests to Lift, the organization’s newly reimagined annual event designed to amplify the voices of people impacted by mental and behavioral health challenges through art and music. The event will take place from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. at University of New England’s Innovation Hall in Portland, Maine. Tickets are available for purchase at spurwink.org/lift.
Lift is an inspiring evening that brings together art, storytelling, and a moving musical performance to create space for connection, understanding, and hope. Guests will enjoy a social hour with heavy hors d’oeuvres, a seated program, and opportunities to engage with community members and organizations throughout Maine.
“These are challenging times, but when we come together, we know we can lift each other up,” said Eric Meyer, President and CEO of Spurwink. “Through Lift, Spurwink aims to create space for connection, understanding, and hope for individuals and families impacted by mental and behavioral health challenges. We are deeply grateful to our sponsors, donors, and community partners who make this work possible.”
Lift represents the next chapter in Spurwink’s legacy of community engagement, following the organization’s long-running Humanitarian event. The reimagined format centers the voices and experiences of those most impacted, while celebrating the collective support that helps ensure access to care for thousands of individuals and families across Maine.
