Jill Shapiro, LCPC
With my extensive experience as a licensed mental health clinician, I specialize in creating a supportive and nurturing environment tailored to the varied needs of young adults and adults. I work with clients to help them gain emotional stability, recover from past trauma, cope with grief, and adapt to life changes. I am committed to providing a safe, non-judgmental space that allows individuals to heal, make desired changes, and develop at their own pace.
In my approach, you’ll find I use compassion, respect, empathy, and authenticity with a touch of humor. I use a person-centered, strength-based, and integrative approach, incorporating talk therapy with evidence-based interventions such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), and Narrative Therapy to address individuals’ unique needs.
I believe that the therapeutic bond between the client and therapist is crucial, which is why I encourage individuals to schedule a complimentary phone conversation. This allows us to establish a strong foundation for our work together, build rapport, and ensure that individuals feel comfortable and supported before committing to ongoing therapy.
