SUPPORTING OUR COMMUNITY & EACH OTHER
Lewiston Remembrance and Reflection
This past October 25th marked the one-year remembrance day of the tragic mass shooting in Lewiston, changing forever our shared reality in Maine. Spurwink held an agency-wide moment of silence on that day to reflect and remember, as we recognized the collective grief of our state, the individuals and families directly impacted, and the resilience of our communities, and participated in the commemoration event at The Colisée in Lewiston.

SUPPORTING SPURWINK'S SERVICES
Year-End Giving = Expanding Access to Care
Expand access to care by donating to Spurwink this holiday season. Maine has a critical need for mental health services, and waitlists for Spurwink services are long. Every gift creates access to mental health and educational services for our Maine community. There are many ways to give, including appreciated securities (stocks), donor-advised funds, and online donations. To learn more, visit www.spurwink.org/donate or contact Emily Williams, Director of Development, at (207) 807-1850 or ewilliams@spurwink.org.
2024 Holiday Gift Card Drive
Help make the holidays brighter for our Maine neighbors. Many individuals Spurwink works with have barriers that impact their holiday celebrations. By donating gift cards, you can bring joy to others. You can drop off or mail gift cards, or donate online and we will purchase the cards.

OUT & ABOUT
1155 Lisbon Open House in Lewiston
We recently held an Open House in Lewiston, which was an opportunity to celebrate the coming together of Spurwink and Tri-County Mental Health Services and recognize the advocacy and support of State Senator Peggy Rotundo in expanding behavioral health services in the Lewiston/Auburn community.

A Circus Rolled Through This Year's Field Day
Each year, students, staff, administrators, and volunteers join in a themed Field Day, which includes Spurwink's three day-treatment school programs. This year was circus-themed, where students tested their strength, had their faces painted, and enjoyed pie-throwing and clown shows. Thank you to the Occupational Therapy team who put on an amazing event and to the volunteers who dedicated their time and talents for the students!

GRANTS IN ACTION
Expanding Behavioral Health Care in York County
With support from the Sam L. Cohen Foundation and The United Way of Southern Maine, Spurwink is responding to community need for increased access to behavioral health care in York County through Psychiatric and Opioid Use Disorder Treatment. As behavioral health care providers, we know first-hand that the waiting lists for mental health and substance use disorder treatment are far too long. Currently, Spurwink has waitlists of over 450 clients in need of such services.
