LEARN ABOUT SPURWINK SERVICES
Where Are They Now?
Eric and David Stearns came to know Spurwink's foster care program in 2014. They had a goal of becoming a permanent home for a young man named Eric, who they had met through their work at Spurwink. After completing the licensing process with DHHS, they were granted a license and affiliated with Spurwink’s Treatment Foster Care Program. Shortly after, Ethan came to live with them. We wondered how the Stearns are faring, five years later. Click to learn more about where they are now!
Spurwink LINK: Your Direct Connection...
Have you heard of the Spurwink Link? The Link is a way to reach out to Spurwink with any questions, referrals, and requests relating to a community member in need. It "links" callers to our programs, including outpatient and public school counseling, trauma systems therapy for refugees, opioid treatment, foster parent recruitment, and so much more. Do you have a mental health need? Or are you concerned about a family member, neighbor or co-worker? Call the Link team. They can be reached Monday-Friday, 8am-4:30pm at (207) 871-1200 or elink@spurwink.org. We are happy to assist you!

HOW YOU CAN SUPPORT SPURWINK
Annual Giving Makes an Impact
Will you donate before fiscal year 2019 ends on June 30?
We plant seeds every day at Spurwink. We may not see change happen in a day, a month or even over a year, but by going the distance with our clients, we create positive attachments that make an impact. Donors like you make it possible to do this good work. Consider making a donation today to help these seeds grow.

IT'S ALL ABOUT THE PEOPLE
Meet Michelle Libby, Development Committee Volunteer
Michelle Libby is a Development Committee member and volunteer, who was inspired by the "significant, collaborative, and graceful work Spurwink employees and volunteers do" during the 2018 Humanitarian Awards Gala. When she's not busy volunteering her time, she can be found helping people find their perfect homes at Century 21 North East. Congrats to the Cumberland County Children's Advocacy Center housed at Spurwink for recently being awarded a grant from the Maine Women's Fund! The grant, in addition to funds previously awarded by the National Children’s Alliance, will be used to develop protocols and a pilot project for the coordination of cases for Commercially Sexually Exploited Children (CSEC) in Cumberland County, informing the development of CSEC programs statewide.
