Strengthening Behavioral Health Care
 Over the past few months, and with the addition of Tri-County Mental Health Services, we have been able to expand the impact of our services to a total of approximately 9,500 Mainers to strengthen behavioral health care in Maine. Read about new programs now offered by Spurwink and other updates.

2024 Humanitarian Wrap-Up
 This past spring, over 240 guests gathered to honor Angela Stone as Spurwink's 2024 Humanitarian and USI with the Corporate Cares Award. This year's theme, Everybody Have Fun Tonight, was chosen because everyone deserves to live fully engaged lives in their communities and enjoy themselves.

Special Olympics Track and Field Season
Another successful Special Olympics Track and Field season has come to a close for Spurwink’s Day Treatment programs. This year, 21 athletes participated in Special Olympics regional spring games across three counties and 13 of our athletes went to Orono State summer games on Saturday June 8th.

Proud Supporter of the 2024 Inclusion Maine Conference
 Catherine Ryder, VP of Special Projects and Gabrielle Gallucci, Director of Business Development joined Senator Angus King at the Lewiston Library for a luncheon hosted by Brann & Isaacson. The event provided an opportunity for local leaders to offer feedback, ask questions about current congressional priorities, and to hear Senator King’s forecasting of key issues.
Spurwink Joins in June Pride Celebrations
 June is Pride Month, we're proud to share that Spurwink actively supported and participated in celebrations. Spurwink staff, friends, and family marched proudly in the Portland Pride Parade and Festival. This is a time to honor and uplift our LGBTQIA+ community, celebrating their diversity, resilience, and valuable contributions to the community.

Meet Volunteer Erin McAllister
Get to know Erin McAllister, who has been a Spurwink volunteer for about three years. She was introduced to Spurwink from a friend, who serves on the Spurwink Board of Directors and Spurwink’s Development Committee. Erin was a huge help in planning this year’s Humanitarian Awards and decorating for Spurwink’s Prom.
