Spurwink Announces Two New Board Members
Spurwink is pleased to announce two new appointees to its Board of Directors — Corrie Brown and Cynthia Curry — bringing with them years of experience in mental health care, assistive technology and digital accessibility.




Spurwink Senior Leaders Recognized Among 'Top 50 Women Leaders in Maine'
Two of our Senior Leaders at Spurwink were recognized by Women We Admire’s list of 'The Top 50 Women Leaders of Maine for 2024.' Kristen Farnham, VP of Legal Affairs and Advancement, and Misty Marston, Sr. VP of Residential and Day Treatment Services, were both included. 



Spurwink Advocacy Update
Spurwink is making its presence in Augusta during this 132nd Maine Legislative Session, advocating for issues that are important to our clients, staff and programs. We will be participating in upcoming events at the State House and advocating in support of a bill that will help to stabilize services and expand access to behavioral health care in public school settings, supporting Public School Counseling programs.

Police use of Maine’s yellow flag law spiked in final months of 2024

Renewal of Next Gen Nonprofit Leadership Program
Spurwink was awarded a continuation grant from the Abbagadassett Foundation to continue Next Gen, a Nonprofit Leadership Program for a spring and summer cohort that offers a hands-on experience and nonprofit leadership for Maine-based college students.
