‘It meets a gap in care’: Spurwink opens 24/7 Lewiston Crisis Center for behavioral health
LEWISTON (WGME) – A new crisis center has opened its doors in Lewiston to help people dealing with mental health emergencies.
The 24/7, 365 Lewiston Crisis Center, which opened last week on Lisbon Street, is operated by the nonprofit, Spurwink.
Vice President of Regional Outpatient and Community Services Rebecca Patkus says it offers teens and adults a place to go as an alternative to the emergency room.
