LEARN ABOUT SPURWINK SERVICES
May is Mental Health Awareness Month
May is Mental Health Awareness Month, where we can take this time to amplify the message of prioritizing mental health and sharing that it is okay to not be okay. The National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) 2022 campaign is sharing the message of 'Together For Mental Health' and will use this time to bring voices together to advocate for mental health and access to care. You can read more below. If it would help to talk to one of Spurwink’s trained professionals, you can contact us at The Link at 1-888-889-3903 or spurwink.link@spurwink.org.

HOW TO MAKE AN IMPACT
Seeds for Ukraine
We are deeply saddened about the war in Ukraine and its impact on people with disabilities who are fleeing to other countries - children, the elderly, and people with intellectual disabilities and mental health issues - people who rely on support from others. Two staff members from Spurwink are spearheading a fundraiser for Keystone Moldova, a non-profit in the country of Moldova that boarders Ukraine, and provides services for people with disabilities, including Ukrainian refugees. They are selling Sun Flower seed packets for a suggested donation of $5. If you’d like to participate, please email Sue Murphy at smurphy@spurwink.org.
