2023/24 School Supply Drive
Students and families served by Spurwink need your help to start the 2023-24 school year off right! Spurwink is now receiving school supply donations and gift cards to local stores such as Staples, Target, Walmart, Renys, or others to help enable families to meet their specific needs. Help us reach our goal of raising $2,000 in gift cards by September 15, 2023!

Spurwink Launches Kineo, an Adult Residential Treatment Program Helping Older Adults with Serious Mental Illness
In Spring 2023, Spurwink opened Kineo, adding ten beds to the already opened Bigelow program and campus. Kineo is specifically designed to serve adults aged 50 years and older who have serious and persistent mental illness. It follows Bigelow’s treatment model to improve psychiatric symptoms and functioning, decrease hospitalization, increase housing stability, reduce arrests, and improve quality of life.

Becoming a Shared Living Provider
Have you heard of Spurwink's Shared Living program? It connects adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities to caring families and community members, who share their home and help provide support. Sometimes family members or friends are already providing this support, but haven't been connected with any support services or stipends.

Building a Community Garden in Randolph
This summer, Spurwink's Outpatient & Community Services team in Randolph worked together to map out and create a community garden at their Randolph location. The idea was initially brought up in a monthly meeting, and quickly took off, deciding that it was a project they wanted to take on for team building purposes, as well as the benefit of the people they serve and their families.
