Outcome Measurement and Research

The Outcome Measurement and Research Department was established in 2006 in an effort to accurately describe the children and families served by Spurwink Services and measure the effectiveness and benefit of the agency’s educational, behavioral and mental health services. Outcome measurement and research uses both formal and natural outcome data tracked as a course of treatment and care.

Results from outcome research are used to improve existing services and plan for new programs. The Outcome Measurement and Research Department also contributes to the ongoing exchange among professionals in social science, health care, child welfare, scientific and policy areas through national conference presentation and professional journal publication.
